Want to sell to Kandyz?
Right product. Right business. Right timing.
We like new ideas
Products customers want to buy
Right product, right timing
What we are looking for
We look for products that have a clear reason to earn their place in our stores. That could be:
- A truly strong product – something that stands out and has the potential to become a bestseller.
- A strong brand – already established or showing clear growth.
- Something new – a product our customers cannot find everywhere.
- The next trend – a product or category where demand is growing.
- An international success – a product that is already performing strongly in other markets.
- A really competitive price – allowing us to create an attractive offer for our customers.
- A strong business case for the store – with a margin that makes the product attractive to sell.
- Something people will talk about – a product that stands out, attracts attention in-store or has strong social media potential.
- A missing piece – a product or range that complements what we already offer.
- The right product at the right time – the category may already be crowded, the season may be wrong or a trend may already be fading. On the other hand, a product can become highly relevant when it meets a growing trend, a new customer behaviour, the right season or a gap in our range.
So don’t just tell us what you want to sell. Tell us why our customers will want to buy it – and why now is the right time.
And yes, of course it has to taste good. But that alone is not enough.
How do you sell to Kandyz?
There are a few basic requirements that all new suppliers must meet before they can start selling to our stores.
1. You must be approved by Kandyz centrally
All new suppliers must be approved by Kandyz centrally before any sales or deliveries to our stores begin. This applies even if you are already in contact with, or have received a positive response from, an individual Kandyz store. An agreement with an individual store does not mean that you are an approved Kandyz supplier.
To become approved, you will need to accept and sign Kandyz’s supplier terms and conditions. These set out important requirements and responsibilities relating to areas such as products, product information, quality, food safety and the handling of potential product issues.
If sales or deliveries begin before you have been approved, the agreement intended to regulate responsibilities and terms between us is not yet in place. This can create problems for both you and the store, including issues relating to product responsibility, product data, invoicing and payment.
Always contact Kandyz centrally and complete the supplier approval process before selling or delivering products to our stores.
2. You must meet our quality and product requirements
Safe and reliable products are non-negotiable for us. We therefore require our suppliers to hold relevant quality certification and meet our requirements for areas including food safety, traceability and accurate product information.
All products sold at Kandyz must also comply with applicable Swedish and EU legislation and be correctly labelled for the Swedish market. This is particularly important for imported products. The fact that a product may legally be sold in another market does not automatically mean that it meets the requirements for sale in Sweden. Requirements may vary depending on the product, category and supplier.
When contacting us, please tell us which quality certification you hold and the date of your latest audit.
Contact Kandyz centrally if you are unsure which quality or product requirements apply to your business.
3. Let the product prove itself
Have a product you believe in, but cannot yet demonstrate how it will perform at Kandyz? A trial could be the way in.
Together with selected suppliers, we can carry out trial sales in a limited number of Kandyz stores. This gives us real sales data and allows us to see how our customers actually respond to the product. It gives both you and us a stronger basis for assessing the product’s market potential and whether it is ready for a wider launch.
Great products deserve the chance to prove themselves. The setup, number of stores, trial period and commercial terms are agreed together before each trial. All trial sales must be agreed with Kandyz centrally in advance.
Think your product is right for a trial? Contact us and tell us why.
